Cancellation & Refunds
RunnersDuniya is committed to providing a transparent and convenient registration experience for runners. However, cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on the event and the event organizer.
Cancellation by a Runner
Cancellation requests
If an event allows cancellation, the cancellation request must be made within the time period specified on the respective event page or registration terms.
Events with a non-refundable policy
Some event registrations may be non-refundable once the registration has been completed. In such cases, the registration amount cannot be refunded unless otherwise stated by the event organizer.
Organizer-specific policies
Since events are organized by different organizers, their cancellation and refund policies may differ. The applicable policy displayed for an event will take precedence over any general information provided on this page.
When Can a Refund Be Issued?
A refund may be issued in situations such as:
- The event organizer has approved a cancellation and refund.
- The event has been cancelled by the organizer.
- The event organizer has announced a refund due to a significant change or other circumstances affecting the event.
- A duplicate payment or registration has been identified and verified.
- A payment was successfully processed but the registration could not be completed due to a technical issue.
If an Event Is Cancelled
If an event is cancelled by the event organizer, the organizer will determine the applicable refund or alternative arrangement, subject to the event's terms and conditions.
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed through the original payment method used for the registration.
If an Event Is Postponed or Rescheduled
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the event organizer may provide runners with the option to participate on the new date, transfer their registration, or receive a refund, depending on the organizer's policy.
Refund Processing
Once a refund has been approved, the refund will normally be initiated using the original payment method used during registration.
The time taken for the amount to reflect in the runner's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or other financial institution involved in the transaction.
Runners should allow the applicable processing time before contacting us regarding a refund that has already been initiated.
Platform & Payment Fees
Where applicable, platform, payment gateway or convenience fees may be non-refundable. The applicable charges and refund terms will be displayed during the registration process or communicated in the event's terms and conditions.
Registration Transfer
Some event organizers may allow a registration to be transferred to another participant. Any such transfer is subject to the rules and approval of the respective event organizer.
Runners should not transfer registrations independently without confirming that the event organizer permits such transfers.
