Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) 2027 is India’s most prestigious marathon and one of asia’s largest road-running events.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

1. Visit the official registration portal.
2. Create an account or log in using your email address.
3. Fill in your personal details such as name, DoB, number, address, T-shirt size etc.
4. Select your race category as Marathon (42.195Km)
5. Upload your timing certificate details.
   • – Only certified on-ground Half Marathon, 25K, or Full Marathon events are accepted.
   • – The certificate must show your Net (Chip) Time.
6. Review your application and verify all details.
7. Pay the registration fee using the available online payment options.
8. Submit your application.
9. Wait for confirmation.
   • Your application and timing certificate will be verified.
   • If approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email and your race entry will be confirmed.

Can I participate in Tata Mumbai Marathon (42Km) without a prior timing certificate?

No, Entry to the Tata Mumbai Marathon (42Km) is only against a timing certificate. Please note, the timing certificate will have to be given at the time of registration and cannot be submitted later.

Tata Mumbai Marathon Confirmation Criteria

Entry to the Marathon race category will be confirmed based on the ‘confirmation criteria’ explained in detail below:

Timings of the only marathon (42.195 km), 25 km distance, and half-marathon (21.097 km) distances conducted at an on-ground event will be considered to qualify for the marathon race category. Timing cut-off across all age groups (as mentioned above) to apply for the marathon category are:

Applicants can submit timing certificates of only those events wherein Race promoters/organizers need to follow the below-mentioned guidelines, for timing certificates of their races to be considered under the confirmation criteria.

The running event must have been conducted within the period of 18 months preceding the race day (17th Jan 2027), i.e., on or after 17th July 2025.

The course must be measured and certified by an AIMS / World Athletics accredited measurer (Grade A or Grade B) using the calibrated bicycle method (Jones Counter or equivalent), in accordance with the standards prescribed in the AIMS / World Athletics publication “The Measurement of Road Race Courses.”

All runners are compulsorily timed using the RFID technology.

In addition to timing mats at the Start and Finish gates, the following minimum split timing mats are mandatory:

• For a full marathon course (42.195 km) – at least 3 split point timing mats.
• For a 25 km course – at least 2 split point timing mats
• For a half marathon course (21.097 km) – at least 2 split point timing mats.

Applicants will get their application confirmation within 10 working days of registration or on or before 9th December 2026, whichever is earlier.

Tata Mumbai Marathon 2027 Registration Fee

For the Tata Mumbai Marathon (42.195 km) category, the published application fee is:

• Domestic applicants: ₹5,000
• International applicants: USD 90

Tata Mumbai Marathon Baggage facility

Marathon participants who wish to avail of the baggage deposit facility on race day must opt for the baggage tag service either during registration or later through their participant profile.

Please note that baggage tags are available in limited numbers and will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants who have successfully opted for the baggage facility must collect the official baggage tag issued by Procam International Pvt. Ltd. (PIPL) at the Expo.

The bag tag must be securely attached to the bag on race day, and the corresponding claim stub must be retained for baggage collection. Bags without a valid official baggage tag will not be accepted at the baggage deposit counters.

A refundable security deposit of INR 500 per baggage tag will be charged at the time of opting for the service. The deposit will be refunded within 15 working days after race day.

Can I transfer my bib to somebody else or somebody else can run on my bib?

No, it cannot be transferred to somebody else. Race day images of participants will be screened visually after the race and if any of the participants is found not wearing the running number bib allotted to him/her, the participant registered for that bib will be disqualified from the race and the subsequent edition of the event in 2026.

Tata Mumbai Marathon Bib Collection Details

In order to collect running bibs from the PLAYSCAPE – Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) 2027 Expo (Thursday, 14th January to Saturday, 16th January 2027), this edition participants will need to choose their bib collection time slots.

Confirmed Marathon men and women participants will receive a race day t-shirt respectively, courtesy event’s Sports Goods Partner, ASICS, at the Bib Collection Center within the PLAYSCAPE – Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) 2027 Expo.
